Hardware Design Engineer

Bionic Power Inc. is a Vancouver-based company developing lightweight, high-mobility exoskeleton technology for the medical and military markets. Our first product is a pediatric, gait rehabilitation device designed to improve crouch gait, often seen with cerebral palsy (CP), spina bifida and other knee extension deficiency disorders.

Assistive exoskeleton technology has shown great promise for gait rehabilitation. Currently, almost 50% of children with CP will lose the ability to walk in adulthood – we aim to change this. Bionic Power is commercializing its military exoskeleton technology to become light-weight and affordable for the medical market. Our first device is in clinical trials with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and we aim to commercialize within the next 12 months.
